Rocket Nation Spotlight Part 10 – Mike Fabec

UToledo has been a staple in my family for four decades. While running the Metro New York City Alumni Chapter from 1995-2015 my wife Debbie and I had the honor of riding in many Homecoming Parades. This played a major part in our daughter and son’s decision to leave New Jersey to attend UToledo. So many great memories of our family alma mater! Thank you Dan Saevig and William Pierce.

A few years ago, Mike Fabec and his wife Ana Maria Tague and I met at the College of Business Deans Breakfast. A few days later they joined us on the parade route and at our Lot 10 tailgate.

Yesterday, Debbie and I had a great time catching up with them at SIP Coffee (thank you Courtney Cousino!). What a great career for Mike! He arrived at UToledo from Euclid, OH. Got his law degree in Florida. Spent his career as a State Prosecutor in the 23th Judicial Circuit in Florida. His love of his son and his exploits as a hockey coach hockey at the @Tampa Bay Junior Lighting Hockey Club is incredible! Nothing better than a proud Rocket Nation Father!!

And Anna and Debbie had a lively conversation about their decades of work as realtors. A fun morning to say the least.

Happy Homecoming Mike and Ana! Looking forward to seeing you in today’s homecoming parade representing the UToledo Alumni Association Southwest Florida Alumni Chapter! Enjoy the ride and thank you for loving UToledo!
