Rocket Nation Recovery #29 – Interesting perspective on UToledo. https://lnkd.in/gwsG95eh

Is this article suggesting that an enrollment, financial and morale crisis has been underway at UToledo since 2010?

The UToledo 2017 – 2022 five year plan called for a rationalization of academic programs and colleges. In mid-2020, three-years later, UToledo leaders took a bold step to spend over $2M to retain the services of Huron Consulting Group to execute “several concurrent, transformative engagements”.

One engagement was an academic portfolio review. https://lnkd.in/gnvb4dsw

In November 2021, almost two years ago, the report was delivered to UT Academic Leadership.

If you were a UToledo trustee, would you want to know what is causing the slow decision making process? Would you call for a crisis management approach to decision making?

As a major donor and member of The Rocket Nation, would you want to understand how UToledo leadership and trustees speed and quality of decision making compares to BGSU, UCincinnati, Miami and Grand Valley State?

Would you want to know what economic impact this slow decision making is having on Northwest Ohio?

It’s ok to feel uncomfortable in a crisis. Please pray for thoughtful, compassionate accountability and urgent actions to revitalize The Rocket Nation.
