Rocket Nation Fun Photo Friday – – while doing research in support of the Metro NYC Alumni Chapter I came across this photo from September 6, 2006. A joint meeting with the UToledo Enrollment leadership team across the street from Radio City Music Hall.
This meeting resulted in ten UToledo alums volunteering to attend high school college fairs in Connecticut, New Jersey, The Five Burroughs of NYC, and on Long Island. John Leschik (pictured on the far left) attended every high school college fair on Long Island from 2007 until he passed a few years ago.
When you attend UToledo home football games look for the Jambulance in lot 10. You’ll see a tent dedicated to the memory of John and his nearly 20-years of volunteer work in support of UToledo admissions. Thank you Ray and Pam Boyer!
Thanks to Bart Ice, Mary Ellen Holst and other NYC area donors for setting up the Metro NYC Alumni Chapter Scholarship in 2005. It’s hard to believe that its been nearly 20-years!
